    The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival is currently taking place from 14 to 25 May 2019.
                                                 

The 72nd annual CANNES FILM FESTIVAL is currently taking place from 14 to 25 May 2019. Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu serves as jury president. American film director Jim’s ensemble zombie comedy film served as the opening film of the festival.   




The festival honoured French film make Agnes Varda, who died in March 2019, featuring her on the official poster of the festival.
