Manish Malhotra celebrates 14 years in fashion and opens Lakmé Fashion Week W/F 2019

It's been 14 years in the running to an epochal success for Manish Malhotra the label and this fashion wizard continues to enthrall us with his sublime craftsmanship even today. The world witnessed his mastery again recently at the opening of Lakmé Fashion Week W/F 2019 which was nothing short of a heavenly surprise.

Set amidst a kingly darbar-esque chandelier, drapery and sufi music in the background, the collection titled 'Maahrumysha', honoured resplendent Indian bridal creations sewn in with a variety of fabrics from cottons to tulle to opulent silks. For this collection, the couturier deviated from brighter reds and oranges and doted on beige, ivory, grey and even salmon with a lot of dazzling gold embroidery work. Modernistic crop-tops and tapered blouses replaced the doctrinal blouse silhouette to.
